“I’ve now worked for HomeLet for nearly 7 years and my current role is Insurance Sales Team Leader. My team is responsible for new business tenant sales, taking inbound calls and making outbound calls to sell insurance to tenants. My team also look after the webchat system for tenants.

HomeLet is a fantastic company to work for, it’s got a great atmosphere with a good team feeling. We are driven by sales and I enjoy coming to work as I know I have a good set of sales people who work to their own targets as well as the team target, it’s a lively and competitive environment.”

“As Head of Referencing, I am responsible for the day to day running of, and service level delivered by, my department. I work with a really great team of 120 people who have been carefully recruited for their passion for delivering an expert service to all of our customers. This is demonstrated by our achievements in the Top 50 Companies for Customer Service award achieved at the end of 2015, 2016 and again in 2017.

The department is fast paced and has a real buzz about it. We often receive great feedback from visitors and new recruits about the good atmosphere it has.

‘I have had so many opportunities for career progression since joining Barbon in 2013; having started in Referencing at HomeLet I have been fortunate enough to be a part of many different teams and work on my personal development. HomeLet offers many avenues for progression, and I myself worked towards the development of new teams within the Referencing department as well as a new career path.

After my first two years at the company, i became a Senior Referencing Executive role in early 2016, where I was able to coach team members and offer development tips to others. I participated in our company’s development scheme in 2017, called LEAD, and thoroughly believe the skills I gained from that course will guide me through the future into any role I would want to pursue. I have recently been successful in gaining a Team Leader position – I am responsible for a team of 19 .

HomeLet is committed to the local community, In 2019 we supported  support St Barnabas Hospice. Our aim was to raise more than we did in 2018 which was a incredible £16,000!!! We raised a staggering £18,443!!!!! We did this through by running lots of activities, events, and Barbon often matching donations.

We took part in a Colour Dash, the Lincoln 10K, Sky Jumps!! Plus weekly collection of charity bags and regular in-house activities such as bingo, sweepstakes, quid grids, bake offs, charity boxes, pub quizzes etc. 

In 2020 we will continue to support St Barnabas, we already have a list of events and activities we are hoping to take part in and a target we want to achieve!!
